WPA2 is now a fairly old WiFi authentication scheme, and the most widely used to secure WiFi connections.
However a team of experts have found and demonstrated a vulnerability that can now be abused to steal sensitive information like credit card numbers, passwords, chat messages, emails, and photos.
Its been called the ‘WPA2 Key Reinstallation Attack’ or ‘KRACK’.

Unfortunately since the weaknesses is in the Wi-Fi standard itself, and not in its implementation, or any particular product, most likely all WPA2 connections are affected.

According to the experts findings, the attack works against:

Both WPA1 and WPA2,
Personal and enterprise networks,
Ciphers WPA-TKIP, AES-CCMP, and GCMP

What it boils down to is that, if your device supports WiFi, it is most likely affected. Initial testings found that Android, Linux, Apple, Windows, OpenBSD, MediaTek, Linksys, and others, are all affected by the KRACK attacks.
